FIRE STATION FEASIBILITY STUDY

Harbor Architects LLC was hired by the City of Raymond for a feasibility study pertaining to the existing Fire, EMS, and Police Stations. The feasibility study included the following elements:

Kickoff meeting with stakeholder task force. Develop project goals.

Tour Fire, EMS and Police existing facilities. Obtain numbers & dimensions of equipment.

Confirm that a joint facility is preferable over stand-alone departments.

Confirm that new construction is more cost effective than upgrading the existing building(s).

Produce architectural program of desired spaces for all building users. Establish size and items to accommodate in each space.

Produce conceptual, scaled plan to establish facility footprint and address various access points.

Compare presently owned site by City to other potential sites.
-
Produce cost opinion and budget development for new facility. Compare budgets for other sites.
-
Document potential funding sources and their specific eligibility requirements.
-
Identify subsequent tasks and proposed schedule, working toward “shovel ready” status.
