NEW FIRE STATION
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
CITY OF OCEAN SHORES
OCEAN SHORES, WASHINGTON
Ocean Shores is a small resort community on the northwest Washington Coast, approximately 130 miles from Seattle. The population size ranges from 4,467 permanent residents in the off-season to 100,000 plus during the busiest weekends in the summer months.
The Ocean Shores Fire Department sought to replace their outdated existing main fire station with a new building containing 6 double apparatus bays, sleeping quarters for eight and offices for administration, as well as a day room, training and fitness spaces. This new facility better houses the 12 career and 24 volunteer firefighters and allows them to serve the community more effectively.
Harbor Architects LLC served as the Construction Manager and Owner’s Representative for this project. Our office coordinated the final design phase and monitored the construction progress. Because this is a modular building, Harbor Architects LLC coordinated both the factory and onsite construction.
This project was completed in November of 2009.
