Job Description:
As our new Associate, you will be working interactively with other design professionals, clients, consultants, contractors, and the public. Projects will cover a broad design range, including residential, commercial, municipal, and educational. You will begin with assisting current staff on their projects, with the intention that after some time and training, you will begin taking control of smaller projects with the objective to continually grow and take on more challenges.
Typical Tasks:
Assist project manager and project architects with assignment
Support the design process through drafting concepts and correcting redlines
Work independently on small projects
Manage complex, small to medium projects under supervision
Interact and collaborate with co-workers, consultants, contractors and clients

Our size coupled with our location necessitates that we take on a greatly varied mix of projects. Thus our experience spans residential remodels to new office buildings, from programming existing spaces to assisting in grant proposals. Harbor Architects LLC provides full planning services, covering master planning, feasibility studies and programming, as well as full architectural services including schematic design and design development, construction document preparation, bidding and negotiating services and construction administration.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary range: $55,000 to $60,000 annually (paid at an hourly rate), depending on experience.

Our Community:
Aberdeen is located in Grays Harbor County, Washington, in the southwest corner of the Olympic Peninsula along the Pacific Ocean. Two popular beaches are located within a 30 minute drive, and the rainforest is 45 minutes away. There are many opportunities for outdoor activities, with 7 nearby major bodies of water (harbors, lakes, rivers, and ocean) and many state and national parks and forests to explore.
