New Municipal Building

CITY OF COSMOPOLIS

COSMOPOLIS, WASHINGTON

When black mold was discovered in their building, the Cosmopolis Police Department and Municipal Court were relocated to a modular building donated by a local timber company. This temporary solution was used far longer than intended,  then the two departments grew and were forced to split, with the Court borrowing space in the local Fire Department building.  Meanwhile, City Hall was moved into a local bank building.

A voter approved bond measure has now allocated $3 Million for a new building, which will house City Hall, the Police Department, and the Municipal Court and City Council all in one location.  Harbor Architects was selected to work with the City and a citizen-led advisory committee to help realize the goals of the many different departments and the needs of the area residents.
