Residential Design & Build Magazine - An informative
website for America's architects, builders, and remodelers specializing in
residential work.
JLC Online
- The interactive information resource for builders and remodelers,
from The Journal of Light Construction
Cyburbia
(formerly called PAIRC - The Planning and Architecture Internet Resource Center) contains
a comprehensive directory of Internet resources relevant to planning, architecture,
urbanism and other topics related to the built environment. Cyburbia also contains
information about architecture and planning related mailing lists and Usenet newsgroups,
and hosts several interactive message areas.
The
Construction Specifications Institute is a must visit for all involved in the
construction field. This site contains a wealth of information of value to anyone
who has questions about the construction industry.
Residential
Architect Online is a wonderful web site to visit for those designing their own home
or beginning the new home process. There are articles from across the entire WWW, as
well as articles drawn from their own magazine.
Remodeling
Online is a website designed for the home remodeler. There are many helpful
features here, such as a kitchen and bath portfolio, and a virtual tour of their project
home.

RCW/WAC Searches - There are multiple places
online to search the Revised Code of
Washington (RCW) and the Washington
Administrative Codes (WAC). The best source we have found is at the
Washington State Legislature website..
Land Use Issues - When building in the State of
Washington, there are many land use issues to consider. We have found links of
interest for issues such as
The
Shorelines Management Act,
Wetland
Mitigation Banking, and The
Wetlands Regulation Guidebook at the
Shorelands and Wetlands website.
There are also many other useful links at the
Washington
State Department of Ecology website.
Accessibility Issues - When dealing with
accessibility issues and barrier-free construction, it is best to consult the
Americans with Disabilities Act
Accessibility Guidelines, and check the applicable Washington State Building Codes at ICBO Code Central.

Grays Harbor County Website
- "Grays Harbor County is Washington State's gateway to the Pacific Ocean
and the Olympic Peninsula". This is the official web site for the
government of Grays Harbor County.
Pacific
County Website - "Pacific County is located in the Southwest Corner of
Washington State. Pacific County is bordered on the West by the Pacific
Ocean, on the North by Grays Harbor County, on the East by Lewis County and
on the South by Wahkiakum County." This is the official web site for
the government of Pacific County.
City of Aberdeen Website - "The
City of Aberdeen is located on the southern edge of the Olympic Peninsula at
the convergence of the Wishkah and Chehalis Rivers. The history of this area
has been driven by the logging and fishing industries, although in the last
few years there has been a concerted effort to replace these with an
emphasis on tourism and designating Aberdeen as the largest retail center on

City of Westport Website - "Westport,
WA is located at the mouth of Grays Harbor on the southernmost peninsula
known as Point Chehalis. The area was in regular use as a summer resort by
local Native American tribes before Thomas Barker Speake and his family, the
first white settlers, arrived early in the summer of 1857. Today,
Westport with a population of 2056 still relies on fishing, shellfish
harvesting, seafood processing and tourism for much of its livelihood. More
recently, boat building has also become an important part of Westport's
economic base."
City of Montesano Website -
"The City of Montesano is the county seat of
Grays Harbor County, Washington, with a population of 3,700. Montesano is

National Council of Architectural Registration Boards is a non-profit federation of 55
