Experience


Mr. Gozart is a native of Aberdeen. He started his professional career with Arnold N. Andring AIA & Associates in 1973 as a draftsman. He resumed college studies in 1975 and operated his own part-time design/drafting firm for a two and one half year period while completing his master degree. Mr. Gozart returned to work with Mr. Andring in August 1977. In September 1979, the firm name was changed to Andring & Gozart AIA, Architects and Planners. Following Mr. Andring's death, Mr. Gozart assumed ownership of the firm. In April 1999, the firm became Harbor Architects, where Mr. Gozart is the principal-in-charge as well as project architect for specific jobs. His project experience includes housing projects, medical facilities, office buildings, detention facilities, public works facilities, restoration projects, recreation facilities and educational projects.

Mr. Gozart is working on several new office buildings and residences, along with numerous and varied projects for Grays Harbor College.

Community Activities

Mr. Gozart is a member of the Aberdeen Rotary Club. He serves in an advising capacity to Vocational Education in Aberdeen & Hoquiam School Districts. He is an active member of the Tech Prep Advisory Committee at Grays Harbor College

Mr. Gozart is an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen
and assists with the Grays Harbor Chapter of Young Life.

Personal

Alan is married to Gail and they have three sons; Jonathan, Aaron and Benjamin. Outside of the office he enjoys racquetball, hiking, biking and tennis.
