Grays Harbor College purchased an old school building
in the rural town of Raymond with the intention of using the building as a
satellite campus serving the North Pacific County area. The building
interior was re-ordered to provide accessible restrooms on both floors,
smaller classrooms to reflect program needs and I.T.V. classrooms to
provide students with distance learning opportunities. Additions to this
historic building provided stairways for egress and an elevator for
building access.
Harbor Architects assisted the College in its efforts
to secure funding commitments from the community, as well as a Community
Development Block Grant from the State of Washington, Department of
Community Trade and Economic Development. Services were also provided to
ensure that the project maintained compliance with the requirements of the
Community Development Block Grant.
